Adhoc Projects
Alongside my BAU work, there are other Adhoc projects that are briefed in. Most of these are still print design, but there are the occasional digital based designs, which allow me to keep expanding my skills. These are a few examples of those Adhoc Projects.
Marella Cruise Travel Weekly Full Page Advert
Marella Cruise had been nominated and shortlisted for a 2024 Globe Award in the ‘Best Mainstream Cruise Company’ category. The aim of this project was to increase votes by having a single full page advert in Travel Weekly’s supplement magazine.
I created the three designs above as options for this advert, experimenting with placement of the copy, imagery and placement of the logos, whilst following brand guidelines. The first design was the chosen one to go forward for the advert.
Marella Cruise E-mail Signature Banner
Alongside the Marella Cruise Full Page Advert, they needed an E-mail signature banner for the Travel Weekly Globes. The slides above show the designs I created for this E-mail banner, this was one of the first digital pieces I have created for TUI.
Sustainability Pledge Poster
This brief required a Sustainability Pledge Poster to be made for the Retail teams to display back of house. The poster needed to be kept simple but effective.
The three designs above were initial ideas I created, using rounded boxes to make it an easy read, and icons so they could recognise what the sustainable pledge was without having to read all the text to understand it. In the end, the first design was chosen for the sustainability pledge poster.
Letter From Santa
This project was to design a letter from Santa for the children who would be travelling to Lapland on Christmas Eve, and wouldn’t get to meet Santa until Boxing Day.
I enjoyed working on this project, as it was very different from what I had been doing previously and it was a chance to be more creative. I designed four options, using some pre-created TUI character illustrations, and creating the background and trees myself. The second one became the final design.
