Hello, I’m Tiegan

I’m a Campaign Designer at TUI. My main responsibilities involve creating In-store posters and tourist board leaflets and posters. Another part of my role is assisting the Campaign Art Editor with the Campaign Playbooks, this includes creating and supplying the assets and images across the different print and digital channels.

Alongside my main work, I do other Ad-hoc projects which usually allow some more creative freedom. This can range from creating Print Advertisements, Letterheads, Pull-Up Banners, Programme Adverts, Vinyls, Gift Card Stands and even digital assets such as Facebook Marketing Posts and E-mail Banners. I enjoy being able to work on a variety of projects because I not only get to improve my knowledge in these areas of design, but I am also able to work with the wider team and connect with more people.

The next stage in my career is to spend some time within the digital departments in TUI, with the UX and UI team and learn more about their role and see if this is something I would like to move towards as that is one of my key interests in design.

Before joining TUI, I studied graphic design at Arts University Bournemouth, and throughout that time experienced designing zines, rebranding a museum exhibition, creating animations, developing apps, and more. I have worked on a number of different projects, gaining useful knowledge and skills along the way.

In my final year, I found one of my passions was in the UI and digital design industry. My belief is that I want to use design as a way to help people and bring about positive change, especially for underrepresented groups. Outside of University, I worked part-time as a care worker and through this job, I became aware of my passion to help people and developed strong empathy, patience, and communication skills which I bring to my creative practice. Through this, I am able to see how design can really have an impact on someone’s daily life.

The way I approach my work is by initially thinking about how this product could be made more user-friendly, or how it could help someone. I work well in collaborative environments, where everyone can share ideas as I always end up thinking of more creative ideas when you’re inspired and motivated by a team. As much as I love teamwork, I am also well suited to individual work and am able to use my initiative to get things done.

My main software skills are in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Indesign and Figma. I did a year in Computer Animation before this course, and even though it wasn't for me I was able to learn Maya in that time, which was vey useful, especially for my final project at University.

Other random facts about me is that I have a love for dachshunds, they are just so cute! (The dachshund in the photo is called Reggie) I would eat apple crumble (aka Crimble Crumble), Cineworld salted popcorn and padron peppers everyday if I could. I love the beach, and I like to stargaze.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my portfolio. I’d love to hear from you, so please feel free to get in touch :)
